Fundación INTRAS is a non-profit organisation dedicated to research and intervention in the mental health field in the region of Castilla y León, Spain. The organisation’s services and programs are based on the recovery approach, empowering people with mental health issues to live a self-determined and self-confident life. INTRAS offers a variety of services and activities such as psychosocial and labour rehabilitation programs, occupational and vocational training, pre-labour workshops as well as counselling and professional guidance. INTRAS workers know that mental illness causes a severe soft skills deficit and poor management of basic emotions, and that, at the same time, being in contact with our own emotions and being able to manage them are key factors to interact with other people and achieve a complete integration in the society. For this reasons, the organization is going to undertake a two-way process to enable its users to understand and manage their emotions and to work with the general society to break down stigma about mental illness, giving people a new perspective on it.
